Melbourne Building Solutions is a small studio of builders, project managers and craftspeople. We accept a limited number of homes each year, and we build them the way we would build our own.
Our story · 002
Melbourne Building Solutions was founded in 2004 by a second-generation builder who believed his industry had lost the plot: rushed contracts, thin documentation, and a race to the lowest number. He began with a different premise. Take fewer projects, specify better materials, keep the same trades year after year, and stay in the room from the first sketch to the last hinge.
Two decades on, that premise is still the studio. We work almost exclusively with architects — Rob Mills, Cera Stribley, Kennedy Nolan, Rob Kennon, and a handful of independent practices we've built alongside for years. The homes are private. The detailing is not.
We deliver between eight and twelve residential projects a year across Melbourne's inner east, bayside suburbs, and the Mornington Peninsula. Every project has a dedicated project manager and a fixed price, and every client receives a written report each Friday for the duration of the build.
